The Detroit Lions will hire New England Patriots director of pro scouting Bob Quinn as their next general manager.
The two sides have agreed in principle to a contract, the team announced this evening. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported earlier this afternoon that the Lions were expected to hire Quinn.
Quinn, 39, joined the Patriots in 2000 as a player personnel assistant and has been with the organization ever since, winning four Super Bowls and climbing up the ranks.
He's considered one of Bill Belichick's most trusted front office members, second only to Nick Cesario in the Patriots heirarchy.
