DETROIT -- Herman Moore co-hosted a segment with Lions president Rod Wood on the Fox2 pregame show before the preseason finale against Cleveland.
Little did he know Wood had a surprise for him.
Wood announced Detroit would be adding Moore's name to the "Pride of the Lions," which is Ford Field's version of the ring of honor. Roger Brown and Alex Karras also will have their names added.
Moore was Detroit's first-round pick in 1991, and he went on to set most of the club's receiving records over the next decade. Nobody in the NFL caught more passes than him from 1995-97, and he was named first-team All-Pro all three of those seasons.
