The Detroit Lions started their off-season shopping today by tendering contracts to six exclusive rights free agents.
Most of the group saw limited playing time last year, though several have a chance to make the 53-man roster this fall.
Linebacker Brandon Copeland safety Isaiah Johnson and running back George Winn were among the players who received contract tenders.
Copeland was one of the Lions' best special teams players last year and saw time as a situational pass rusher late in the season. Johnson signed out of Georgia Tech as an undrafted free agent and appeared in six games late in season.
