Lions TE Eric Ebron plans to auction off Christmas-themed cleats for charity

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions Eric Ebron was fined for wearing Christmas-themed cleats on Monday Night Football in New Orleans. Now, he’s planning on auctioning off the custom-designed shoes for charity.

Ebron tweeted Tuesday that he would be auctioning them off after the season concludes Sunday against the Chicago Bears, something he confirmed to ESPN.com on Wednesday.

“I’m just going to do the Christmas shoes,” Ebron said. “It was a special thing. It’s one of my favorite holidays. So I’m going to just auction them off and I always donate to Parkinson’s disease because that’s what my grandfather passed away from.
