ALLEN PARK -- While the Detroit Lions continue to get bad news on the defensive line, it seems they dodged a bullet elsewhere.
Starting linebacker Tahir Whitehead left Friday's preseason loss against New England with a knee injury, but it's not believed to be serious. The same goes for tight end Cole Wick, who left the game with a chest injury.
"They'll be OK," coach Jim Caldwell said Sunday.
Wick's injury looked especially bad. He took a big hit trying to catch a Matthew Stafford pass and had to be helped by trainers into the locker room.
