The Lions sifted around the bottom of the herb grinder on Tuesday, chopping out leftovers at running back while continuing to dig for another wide receiver.
On their website, the Lions announced they had released Justin Stockton and, in a tandem move, signed free agent Jordan Lasley to his open roster slot.
Stockton was an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech before the Lions signed him on August 10. He played in the preseason game against the Houston Texans, where he made one reception for 13 yards.
Lasley comes from the Oakland Raiders, who signed him on August 1 and released him on the 18th.
