The Detroit Lions made a roster move today, but not at the position where they needed the most help.
The Lions signed wide receiver Aaron Dobson after a workout today. It's not immediately known how they made room for Dobson on the roster.
Dobson caught 53 passes over the last three seasons with the New England Patriots, but was waived at the cutdown to a 53-man roster earlier this month.

Dobson is a familiar face to Lions general manager Bob Quinn, who spent 16 seasons in the Patriots' scouting department before coming to Detroit this year.
