Lions sign WR Aaron Dobson, work out Joique Bell

Allen Park – The Detroit Lions are signing wide receiver Aaron Dobson, according to a source. A former second-round draft pick, Dobson spent his first three seasons with the New England Patriots. In 24 games he caught 53 passes for 698 yards and four touchdowns.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder was part of the Patriots’ final roster cuts heading into the regular season.

A corresponding roster move has yet to be announced by the team.

The Lions also brought in a number of linebackers for workouts on Tuesday, according to an ESPN report. As the team considers depth options for its banged up corps, they took a closer look at Joplo Bartu, James-Michael Johnson, Zaviar Gooden, Jamari Lattimore.
