Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that they have signed unrestricted free agent CB Darrin Walls. Contract terms were not disclosed.
Walls arrives in Detroit after spending that past four seasons (2012-15) with the New York Jets. In 2015, Walls played in 13 games and collected three tackles, three pass defenses and seven special teams tackles.
The sixth-year veteran originally signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2011 out of Notre Dame. Over the last five seasons, Walls has played in 54 games (16 starts) and registered 64 total tackles (61 solo), 3 interceptions, 22 pass defenses and 11 special teams tackles.
