Lions sign three tryout players

The Detroit Lions entered rookie minicamp with 85 players on their roster, meaning there was room under the 90-man limit to sign a few tryout players if they performed well enough over the weekend.

That’s exactly what happened for safety Nathan Lindsey, receiver Erik Lora and receiver Jarred Haggins. All three have signed three-year contracts with the team.

Lindsey, an Inkster native, recorded 41 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and broke up four passes last season at Fort Hays State. He joins undrafted free agents Isaiah Johnson and Brian Suite as safeties trying to make the 53-man roster out of training camp.
