Bob Quinn said at his introductory news conference in January that he'd take a zero tolerance policy when it came to drafting players and signing free agents with "domestic violence and dangerous weapons" issues in their backgrounds.

The Lions signed free agent tight end Andrew Quarless before the start of practice today, after the NFL suspended Quarless two games for an incident that involved him firing a gun in public last year.
Quarless is eligible to practice with the Lions immediately, but will miss the first two games of the regular season.
