The Lions have added depth to the interior of their offensive line by signing center Joe Madsen.
Madsen (6-3, 305) is a former All-East performer at West Virginia who started 50 games for the Mountaineers.
He was signed by Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in 2013, but didn’t make the team out of camp.
He played in the Arena League for the Los Angeles KISS during the 2014 season, appearing in 16 games. He also spent three weeks on Green Bay’s practice squad during the playoffs last season.
Madsen brings depth to a Lions team that is dealing with some injuries on the interior of their offensive line.
