Detroit – It took three quarters for the Detroit Lions’ offense to get word the team’s bye was last week. But thanks to big plays from the defense and special teams, the Lions were able to walk away with a hard-fought victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, 26-19.
The Lions improved to 6-4 and held onto first place in the NFC North.
The Lions maintained their troubling streak of trailing in the fourth quarter of every game, entering the final frame down, 19-16. The margin was only that close because of an interception return and punt return for a touchdown by the Lions.
