Safety Rafael Bush played only 12 snaps in his exhibition debut for the Detroit Lions, but he already knows he needs to work on something.
“Obviously, I had an interception that I thought I could make,” he said. “Obviously, I need to get in the weight room and probably get some squats in.”
Kidding aside, Bush and the starting secondary had very limited time on the field in Friday’s 30-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. But even with the starters — Darius Slay was inactive — playing no more than a dozen snaps, Bush was encouraged by the start.
