Lions S Tavon Wilson Out For Season With Shoulder Injury

Lions S Tavon Wilson is out for the season with a shoulder injury that will require surgery, according to Dave Birkett.

You can expect the Lions to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Wilson, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2012. He played out his rookie deal with New England before signing a two-year, $2.2 million contract with the Lions last year.

Wilson stands to make a base salary of $900,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Wilson appeared in 10 games for the Lions and recorded 55 tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.
