NAPA, Calif. -- Frank Ragnow has enjoyed a strong start to his rookie camp on the field. But the work hardly stops there.
Players are hustled through an interminable circuit of team meetings and positional meetings. They meet with trainers and pump iron. They soak in tubs that are hot and others that are cold. They share three square meals a day. Then they head back to the team hotel for, you guessed it, yet more film.
And when it's all over -- well, it's almost time to do it all over again.
That's a lot for anybody, and especially a first-round pick who will be expected to protect the franchise quarterback his first day on the job.
