ALLEN PARK -- Bill Keenist, the right-hand man for Lions coaches from Wayne Fontes to Jim Caldwell, will be transitioning out of the role this summer.
Keenist has been re-assigned as team historian, a title that didn't previously exist in Detroit, but is a typical move made by many other longtime public relations staffers.
"They've treated me really well," Keenist said. "I'm really excited to see what this chapter of my career has in store for me."
The move is part of a larger organizational shakeup that has been under way since Rod Wood took over as team president in 2015.
