ALLEN PARK -- LeGarrette Blount knew it was coming. Now it's done.
The NFL has fined the Detroit Lions running back $10,026 for coming off the bench to fight in Sunday's loss against San Francisco.
The play occurred in the fourth quarter, when Detroit was trying to mount a fourth-quarter rally against the 49ers. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was trying to pick up extra yardage on a scramble up the right sideline when he was hit by linebacker Elijiah Lee.
The hit was big, but legal. That didn't stop Blount from wanting to protect his quarterback, though.
