DETROIT -- The Lions' best and often only productive skill player has left the building.
Rookie running back Kerryon Johnson went to the locker room after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter against the Carolina Panthers. His return was initially characterized as questionable, before was downgraded to out midway through the fourth quarter.
Johnson had 97 yards from scrimmage when he left the game, while the rest of Detroit's skill players combined for 126. He also scored the club's only touchdown of the day, an 8-yard plunge back in the first quarter.
