According to Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell, running back D’Andre Swift and defensive tackle Michael Brockers are expected to play in Sunday’s season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.
“Should be ready to go,” Campbell told 97.1 The Ticket’s Stoney & Jansen with Heather show.
A couple of weeks ago, Campbell expressed concern that Swift had missed too much time in practice with a groin injury, and that he may not be up to speed in terms of conditioning by the time the regular season rolled around. Last week, he noted that Swift had made significant progress.
