Josh Wilson's season is over because of a right knee injury, and the Detroit Lions plan to add a veteran cornerback as his replacement.
Wilson left Sunday's 18-16 win over the Green Bay Packers with what was initially diagnosed as a sprained knee, and the team has notified him it will place him on season-ending injured reserve.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said Monday that Wilson's injury is "pretty significant," and the veteran cornerback is scheduled to get a second opinion later this week.
The Lions worked out cornerbacks today in Allen Park and are finalizing a contract with ex-Lion Bill Bentley, who was part of the tryout.
