ORLANDO, Fla. -- Rod Wood was pleased with the way the Lions handled the protests last season, both from an organizational and player standpoint.
But he wasn't so keen about the league.
"I don't know if I have the right solution, but I think whatever the solution is, it needs to be one that is league wide," the Lions team president said Monday during the NFL owners meetings here at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando. "I think some of the things I got uncomfortable with last year was trying to manage it at the team level, and do it 32 different ways after the (Donald) Trump incident that got everybody kind of fired up about it.
