The Detroit Lions have ended the season of linebacker DeAndre Levy after he played only one half of football.
Levy initially missed the first four games of the season with a hip injury he suffered during a practice in the preseason. He played less than a half in Week 5 against Arizona before re-injuring the hip.
It forced the linebacker to have surgery and the Lions were waiting until after the surgery to see how he was healing before making a final decision on his status the rest of the season. Now, it's clear that it is over -- especially with the Lions at 1-7 and realistically out of the playoff race.
