The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday that they’ve placed DT Haloti Ngata on injured reserve and signed DE Datone Jones and DT Caraun Reid to contracts.
- The Lions also waived Thurston Armbrister.
Ngata, 33, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2006. He spent nine years in Baltimore before he was traded to the Lions in return for a fourth- and fifth-round pick that eventually became Shaq Riddick and Za’Darius Smith.
The Lions brought Ngata back on a two-year, $12 million contract that included $6 million guaranteed.
