Lions place 4 more players on non-football injury list ahead of training camp

Before the Detroit Lions got to work at their first day of training camp, the team added four more players to the “Active/Non-Football Injury” list: cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Amik Robertson, as well as wide receivers Donovan Peoples-Jones and Tre’Quan Smith.

While these players will start camp on the injury list, they are eligible to return from the designation at any time. Oftentimes, players only spend a few days or a couple weeks on the list before joining the team on the practice field. Now that training camp is officially underway, the Lions are not permitted to add any new players to the PUP or NFI lists, hence why these four names were added before the start of camp.
