The Republican National Committee changed leadership Thursday and that means a change in the fandom of the new RNC chair as well.
At least at the RNC offices, it means out with the Green Bay Packers and in with the Detroit Lions. With Wisconsin native – and former RNC chair Reince Preibus – headed to the White House on Friday to become the new chief of staff, his job was open.
And on Thursday, the RNC chose Ronna Romney McDaniel to be the new chairwoman of the RNC. And in her introductory speech, that reportedly meant at least one reference to the Lions and the Packers.
