On Wednesday morning, the Detroit Lions officially announced the news that will shake up their front office. To help with new general manager Brad Holmes, the Lions have hired Ray Agnew as the team’s assistant GM and John Dorsey as the team’s senior personnel executives.
Both hires were previously reported, but now Dorsey has his official title. That one is important, because he is now the most tenured executive in Detroit’s front office. After years of scouting in the early 1990s, Dorsey became the director of college scouting for the Packers back in 1997.
