Lions notes: Wrapping up this week's OTAs

Lions notes looks at various tidbits from this week's set of OTA practices.

  • Martha Ford was in attendance for the Detroit Lions' OTA on Wednesday, which was the only practice open to the media this week.

  • According to ESPN, Quandre Diggs "was consistently with the first unit as the nickelback" on Wednesday. With Bill Bentley and Nevin Lawson still limited, Diggs has a really good chance to make an early statement that he should be the full-time nickelback going forward.

  • Speaking of young players practicing with the first-team defense, Caraun Reid "got most of the work" next to Haloti Ngata, according to MLive.
