2018 was a tough year for both the Detroit Lions and Matt Patricia. For the former, it was a disappointing 6-10 year after back-to-back 9-7 seasons. For the latter, it was a rocky start to his head coaching career. Throughout the season, Patricia was questioned for his on-the-field decisions, his ability to lead a locker room and his odd spars with the media. By the season’s end, only 24 percent of Lions fans approved of the job he was doing. Compare that to the 90 percent approval rating he had when he was hired, and well, let’s just say thing could’ve gone better for Patricia.
