Lions notes looks at Ameer Abdullah, Darius Slay and much more.
- Ameer Abdullah turned quite a few heads in his preseason debut, but he's not suddenly getting comfortable or anything like that. In fact, in a post for the Detroit Lions' official website, Abdullah wrote that his preseason debut was "borderline good, but by no means great." He also said that he was "a little rusty." If that's what he looks like while rusty, I can't wait to see what he has in store going forward.
- Darius Slay's mindset for the cornerback position is pretty simple (via MLive): "My goal is to make a play on every quarterback and make everyone mad at me.
