Lions, NFL teams could have different medical evaluations for Zach Orr

Before he scheduled a visit with the Detroit Lions on Thursday and before he thought about making an NFL comeback, Zach Orr was out of football after the Baltimore Ravens medical team determined he had a condition that could be life threatening.

It was a congenital spine and neck disorder, discovered during a checkup on a herniated disk. He retired in January, stating his health didn't give him much of a choice. Five months later, the 25-year-old is trying it again.

He doesn't appear to be headed back to the Ravens, who did not tender him as an unrestricted free agent, allowing him to hit the open market.
