NAPA, Calif. -- Miles Killebrew was a fourth-round pick out of Southern Utah. He wasn't necessarily expected to play much as a rookie. But he did.
He was that good. That intriguing. His game wasn't exactly polished, but he was big and athletic and proved he could cover tight ends for a team that was struggling to cover tight ends.
That was 2016.
And it's starting to seem like a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Killebrew faded from the safety rotation last year, and not even Tavon Wilson's season-ending injury changed that.
