Lions' Matthew Stafford explains what went wrong on late interceptions

DETROIT -- Nobody's led more fourth-quarter comebacks than Matthew Stafford since 2014. He had nine of them in 2016 alone, still an NFL record.

The man knows his way around a comeback. And with the eyes of the nation upon him on Thanksgiving, the 10th-year Lions quarterback nearly did it again.

But this time, like too many times this season, he just wasn't good enough.

Stafford threw two fourth-quarter interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, to send Detroit to a 23-16 loss Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

On the first pick, Stafford was looking left for tight end Michael Roberts.
