ALLEN PARK -- Matt Patricia was here to declare his innocence in the face of decades-old sexual assault allegations.
"I'm here to defend my honor," the Detroit Lions coach said during a press conference on Thursday, "and clear my name."
What he wasn't here to do: Explain what actually did happen in that South Padre Island hotel room in March of 1996.
"What I think is important here, what happened 22 years ago is what didn't happen," he said. "As I said, I was innocent then and I'm innocent now. I was falsely accused of something I did not do.
