Lions LT Taylor Decker, Saints LT Terron Armstead suffer same exact injury

The Detroit Lions lost their franchise left tackle to a major injury in a noncontact practice, but they weren't the only ones.

One week after Detroit's Taylor Decker tore his labrum and required surgery, New Orleans' Terron Armstead became victim of the exact same injury.

Both setbacks require surgery and carry a recovery timetable of four to six months. It is a brutal blow to a team looking to push for the playoffs behind a franchise quarterback, as the Lions have with Matthew Stafford and the Saints have with Drew Brees. It is especially crushing when the left tackle is as talented as Decker and Armstead are.
