ALLEN PARK -- Just three days after his return to Miami, Lions linebackers coach Al Golden has filed a lawsuit against the University of Miami in federal court.
Golden is contending the school owes him about $3 million in unpaid settlement money, plus any additional sums that accrue and remain unpaid, according to the suit.
Golden was the head coach for the Hurricanes from 2011-15. But he was dogged by NCAA sanctions connected to a rogue booster, and went 32-25 before being fired by the school. He was let go just one day after losing 58-0 to Clemson, the worst loss in school history.
