The concussion Josh Wilson suffered at some point last week will prevent him from playing Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings (1 p.m., FOX).
With Wilson, the Lions’ top nickel cornerback, sitting out, rookie Quandre Diggs will likely handle the majority of the snaps in the slot.
The Vikings typically use Jarius Wright in the slot, but rookie Stefon Diggs will see some snaps there too. The two Diggs are unrelated, but the Lions’ Diggs joked that he’s referred to the others Diggs as his cousin after his impressive performances the past two weeks (13 catches for 216 yards combined).
