The Detroit Lions defense was an absolute disaster in the first half of the game against the Atlanta Falcons. Missed tackles, wide open receivers and a limited pass rush allowed Matt Ryan to light up Detroit for 20 points and 184 passing yards.
On the first defensive play of the second half, things went from bad to worse. Anthony Zettel, one of the team’s major source of a pass rush, went down hard with a knee injury and seemed to be writhing in pain for a few minutes.
Zettel was able to walk off with the help of trainers and avoided being taken to the locker room.
