The Detroit Lions have a new strength and conditioning coach, and it's no surprise where he came from.
The Lions hired former New England Patriots assistant Harold Nash Jr. to run their strength program today, the team announced.
Nash was fired earlier this week, after 11 seasons with the Patriots, the last five as the team's head strength and conditioning coach.
A favorite of players, Nash was let go after a rash of injuries derailed New England's chances of winning back-to-back Super Bowls.
He joined the Patriots in 2005, as assistant strength coach, after a long playing career in the CFL.
