Matthew Stafford's first pass as the highest-paid player in NFL history was a pick-six. His terrible overthrow into the arms of a streaking Justin Bethel begged for questions about just how effective he and the passing game could be against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Early on, he was forcing plays across the middle, and the Lions offense was stagnant.
But when he turned it on, he hit another gear. His first touchdown pass to Kenny Golladay showed some of the touch he's been working on, and his second, from 45 yards out, was one of the more impressive lofts you'll see this NFL season.
