Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia has been the target of criticism pretty much from the minute he landed in Detroit back in February of 2018. Of course, as a head coach who took the Lions from back-to-back 9-7 seasons to 5-11 and 3-12-1 records, some of that criticism is understandably warranted.
Lately, too, some former players have come out and spoken against the way Patricia conducts the team as a leader. Most recently, Darius Slay spoke about an incident with Patricia in which he was, in Slay’s view, publicly humiliated in front of the team.
