Lions GM Bob Quinn holds meeting about Darius Slay, Stephen Tulloch

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Detroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn met with agent Drew Rosenhaus on Monday at the NFL owners meetings, according to a source, and it wasn't over umbrella drinks on the beach.

The meeting concerned a pair of Rosenhaus clients -- cornerback Darius Slay and linebacker Stephen Tulloch.

Rosenhaus has opened negotiations with the Lions about a long-term extension for Slay, who is entering a contract year after turning into one of the NFL's better cornerbacks last season. He was rated No. 2 at the position, according to ProFootballFocus.

If Slay's upward trajectory were to continue next year, he would stand to cash in big time on the open market.
