Bob Quinn said he planned to evaluate everything related to the football operations when he took over as Lions general manager, including the coaches, scouts, players, trainers and strength coaches.

Quinn has already made some changes to the scouting staff, and now, he’s shaking up the strength and conditioning department.

The Lions have fired coordinator of physical development Jason Arapoff and assistant strength and conditioning coach Ted Rath, the two men who led the program.

Arapoff joined the Lions in 2001 after spending 13 years with Washington. He’s been in his current role since 2006.

Rath had been with the team since 2009, joining the Lions after three years working with Toledo.
