The Detroit Lions needed some depth at defensive end, and on Monday, they finally made a move. The Lions agreed to terms with former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Wallace Gilberry, according to a Tweet from Gilberry’s agent.
Gilberry is mostly a rotational pass-rusher who can play in passing situations. The Lions need a No. 3 defensive end behind Ezekiel Ansah and Devin Taylor. This should not preclude the Lions from drafting a defensive end in this month’s draft, potentially in the first round, where Shaq Lawson could be a prized target.
