According to Tom Pelissero, the Lions are expected to sign rookie QB Brad Kaaya to their practice squad now that he has officially passed through waivers unclaimed on Tuesday.
The Lions’ practice squad currently consists of:
- CB Adairius Barnes
- WR Jace Billingsley
- WR Dontez Ford (Injured)
- C Leo Koloamatangi
- DE Earl Okine
- S Rolan Milligan
- TE Hakeem Valles
- DT Christian Ringo
- OT Dan Skipper
- WR Andy Jones
- LB Thurston Armbrister
Kaaya, 22, was drafted by the Lions in the fifth-round of this year’s draft after electing to leave the University of Miami early and enter the 2017 NFL Draft, even though some evaluators believe it was in his best interest to return to school for another season.
