Lions’ Ebron and Tate in, Zenner out for game vs. Colts

Indianapolis – Tight end Eric Ebron is active for the Detroit Lions’ season opener against the Indianapolis Colts. So is wide receiver Golden Tate, who was questionable with an ankle injury. Tyrunn Walker, a late-week addition to the injury report with a calf injury, is also good to go for the contest.

Ebron missed the entire preseason after suffering an ankle injury in early August. His return, along with Tate’s status, gives quarterback Matthew Stafford his full assortment of weapons in the passing game.

Among the inactives, running back Zach Zenner is the biggest surprise. That means rookie Dwayne Washington will have a role right out the gate for the Lions.
