Tyrunn Walker was a surprise scratch for a Week 11 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars this year, and the Detroit Lions' decision to keep him out of the lineup that day ended up costing Walker in his pocketbook.
Walker, who started the first eight games of the year at defensive tackle for the Lions, missed out on a $150,000 playtime incentive by seven snaps. He lost his starting job one game prior to the Jacksonville game, and was inactive when the Lions returned from their bye week.
Walker needed to play 35% of the Lions' 1,026 defensive snaps in order to earn the incentive in his contract.
