There was a little concern over the past couple weeks after the Detroit Lions signed former Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels to a one-year $8.1 million deal. While fans were thrilled to get such a premier talent—and from a division rival, no less—Daniels didn’t participate in any team drills in his first week with the Lions.
Given that Daniels was coming off a season-ending foot injury, many were concerned he may not be ready for the regular season. Daniels put that notion to bed on Wednesday during an interview with NFL Network’s Stacey Dales and Willie McGinest:
