ALLEN PARK -- A'Shawn Robinson has been demoted on the Detroit Lions' first depth chart of the season.
Robinson, who started all 16 games last year, was replaced by Ricky Jean Francois at defensive tackle for Monday's opener against the New York Jets. Sylvester Williams is the other tackle.
A second-round pick in Bob Quinn's first draft class in 2016, Robinson once looked like he had a bright future in Detroit. He was good as a rookie, when he swatted seven passes while playing in mostly a reserve role. He worked his way into the lineup by season's end, then remained there throughout 2017.
