The Cleveland Browns cut Armonty Bryant after he served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, knowing that the talented pass rusher had more league discipline coming.
The Detroit Lions claimed Bryant with the same knowledge, and today, they got word that their sack leader over the last month will miss the next three games.
The NFL officially suspended Bryant through the Lions' Thanksgiving game against the Minnesota Vikings for a 2015 incident in which he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug charge.
Bryant was arrested last Christmas morning with then-Browns teammate De'Ante Saunders, after Saunders was pulled over for drunken driving.
